4 star hotel
Area: Financial District South
0.10 mi from Yerba Buena Gardens
Best Rooms: The views offered from this hotel are limited to Union Square from even numbered rooms or Yerba Buena Gardens. However, because the building is surrounded by other buildings, you'll need to get on a high floor, above 20, to get a view.
Best Rooms: Rooms facing Howard St. offer views of the bay, better from floors 25 - 28. The north side of the hotel has limited views due to obstruction from the neighboring St. Regis Hotel. The Fabulous Corner Rooms, ending in *02 (e.g. 2002, 2102), have great views of the bay out of one window and AT&T Ballpark from the other.
Best Rooms: Rooms facing Powell Street offer excellent views of the famous cable cars. Other than views of the cable car, the hotel doesn't offer much in the way of views, as it's only 6 stories high.
Best Rooms: Surrounded by taller buildings, the hotel doesn't offer any real views. That said, rooms overlooking Powell or Cyril Magnin Street offer better views of the surrounding area.
Best Rooms: The hotel is only 7 stories tall, so you won't find much in the way of views. However, some of the King rooms facing Bush Street offer views of Chinatown.
Best Rooms: View room types offer beautiful views of the San Francisco skyline and bay. Tower 1 offers the best views of the city from even-numbered rooms, and the Golden Gate Bridge from odd-numbered rooms.
4 star hotel
Area: Lower Knob Hill
0.44 mi from Yerba Buena Gardens
Best Rooms: Book a View room for the best possible view of the surrounding areas; these rooms are located on floors 14 - 20. While you won't really get sweeping skyline views, rooms ending in odd numbers face Union Square and tend to have better views.
