5 star hotel
Area: Midtown East
0.10 mi from St. Patrick's Cathedral
Best Rooms: Any room facing west (toward Madison Avenue) in the main building offer great view of St. Patrick's Cathedral. There are only a few rooms with views of the cathedral in the Tower Building, and these are the Tower Junior Suites or the One Bedroom Tower Corner Suites.
Best Rooms: The hotel isn't high enough to provide spectacular views, but a room facing the exterior will give you a nice view of Madison Ave. or 52nd St. If you'd like a street view and a quiet room, a Premier Room above floor 8 is likely your best option.
Best Rooms: Throughout the floors, guests may be able to see St. Patrick's Cathedral; however, guests may want to request the Cathedral view if they want to have an exact view of it.
Best Rooms: The best option for a city view is to request a room on the Park Ave. side of the hotel. There are a small number of rooms on the other side of the hotel that offer views of the Chrysler Building.
Best Rooms: Booking a Grand Luxe Room guarantees you a city view, because these face 5th Ave. and are located on the higher floors; these are also the largest studio rooms. Junior Suites are located on the corners of the hotel, where you'll be able to see 5th Ave. and either 55th or 54th St.
Best Rooms: The hotel is surrounded by taller buildings, so you'll have limited city views of either 6th Ave. or West 54th St., from any floor. Request a room ending in *29 above floor 10 (e.g. 1129, 1529) for a nice city view.
Best Rooms: You can find a view of the Empire State Building from rooms ending in *15 and *17, on floors 15 and above (e.g. 1515, 1617, 2217). Views of the Chrysler Building are found from rooms ending in *20 through *22, on floors 15 and above (e.g. 1520, 1621, 2122). To guarantee a view, make the reservation first and then call the front desk. They will block it for you and a room with a view will be guaranteed. Classic Queens are located on floor 14 and below, so although you won't see any landmarks, you'll get a view of 44th St. and Rockefeller Center.
