Best Rooms: Deluxe rooms have the best views because they're located at the corners; they'll either have views of the Empire State Building, the Chrysler Building and New Jersey or the Empire State Building, the Chrysler Building and the three bridges (Williamsburg, Brooklyn and Manhattan).
Best Rooms: For the best views of the river, consider requesting a room facing west on floors 40 - 46.
Best Rooms: The majority of the Superior rooms are located on the north side of the hotel, with views of a tall building across the street. The absolute best view from the hotel is from the Penthouse Suite, which also includes a rooftop terrace. But of course, this view will cost you a pretty penny. The most economical way to get a good view and a nice room is to book a Grand Suite. These rooms are on floors 5 - 8, and offer views of Church St. and 6th Ave.
Best Rooms: The Wonderful Rooms, which are the standard category, are all located on the backside of the hotel. As such, the views are largely obstructed by other buildings. Spectacular Rooms are available with a partial view of Union square, and you should request these upon check-in. Full views of Union Square are available from the Mega Rooms, available upon request during check-in.
Best Rooms: The best views of Gramercy Park are found from rooms facing south, on any floor.
Best Rooms: The hotel doesn't offer many views, but a north-facing room is the best option because it may offer nice views of Platt Street from a higher floor.
