Best Rooms: When it comes to views, nothing beats the Park View rooms. Park View rooms come in a variety of room categories and all offer panoramic views of Central Park. City View rooms all offer a nice view of the Manhattan skyline, but these are not as popular as the Park View rooms. Executive rooms are about the same size as Deluxe rooms, but they're located on higher floors and therefore provide better views.
Best Rooms: The hotel is surrounded by taller buildings, so you'll have limited city views of either 6th Ave. or West 54th St., from any floor. Request a room ending in *29 above floor 10 (e.g. 1129, 1529) for a nice city view.
Best Rooms: Rooms facing W 45th St. on floors 25 - 27 offer a view of the city.
Best Rooms: You can find a view of the Empire State Building from rooms ending in *15 and *17, on floors 15 and above (e.g. 1515, 1617, 2217). Views of the Chrysler Building are found from rooms ending in *20 through *22, on floors 15 and above (e.g. 1520, 1621, 2122). To guarantee a view, make the reservation first and then call the front desk. They will block it for you and a room with a view will be guaranteed. Classic Queens are located on floor 14 and below, so although you won't see any landmarks, you'll get a view of 44th St. and Rockefeller Center.
Best Rooms: Rooms at the front of the hotel have the best views, which are of East 51st St.
Best Rooms: Deluxe Queen rooms ending in *09, *12, *13 and *14 (e.g. 509, 613) have the best city views, as do the ones ending in *08, which are Deluxe King rooms.
