We are looking for a marketing analyst who will support the marketing team in a variety of capacities including data-driven storytelling, forecasting, site analytics, marketing channel optimization, partner analysis and performance reporting. The ideal candidate is comfortable with both gathering, analyzing and interpreting data from multiple sources, and turning that data into concrete insights and actionable recommendations.
Work with the PR/Social team to develop interesting, data-driven stories that establish Room 77 as an expert in the hotel search space.
Develop and track the marketing forecast and budget.
Analyze data to determine the effectiveness of inbound marketing channel traffic, and develop recommendations for improving conversion rates and site engagement.
Work directly with partners to pull reports, deliver required reporting, analyze site monetization and improve performance.
Work across multiple areas of marketing and help take on new tasks as necessary including social media, guerilla marketing and brand development.
Partner with the product and engineering teams to further understanding of marketing effectiveness.
Proven track record and enthusiasm for complex problem solving using modeling and analysis. Runs circles around people analytically and is talented at simplifying abstract issues and data into actionable analyses.
Hands-on experience with SQL, Excel, and analytics platforms (familiarity with Google Analytics particularly helpful); deep understanding of how to evaluate data in the context of statistical significance. Bachelors degree in quantitative field preferred.
