Our take on Roxy Hotel Tribeca

Tribeca is known as a trendy neighborhood, and one of its first boutique hotels, the Tribeca Grand Hotel, fits right in. Ever since the hotel opened its doors in 2000, it's seen more than its fair share of celebrities who dine and dance at the Church Lounge, attend premieres in its basement screening room or stay in the opulent, multi-level Penthouse Suite. Even if you stay in one of the other rooms, you'll still find great amenities such as flatscreen TVs with DVD players, complimentary wireless Internet, a cozy bathrobe and even a pet goldfish to keep you company if you start feeling lonely. If you happen to be in town over the weekend, you won't want to miss out on the restaurant's Grand Sunday Brunch, where guests and locals alike partake in a lavish spread and watch a family-friendly film in the Grand Screening Room. Movie and a meal -- what could be more enjoyable?

Insider Tips on the Best Rooms at this Hotel

Quiet Rooms

To request a quiet room, ask for a room on a high floor or reserve a Corner King.

Rooms with a View

The majority of the Superior rooms are located on the north side of the hotel, with views of a tall building across the street. The absolute best view from the hotel is from the Penthouse Suite, which also includes a rooftop terrace. But of course, this view will cost you a pretty penny. The most economical way to get a good view and a nice room is to book a Grand Suite. These rooms are on floors 5 - 8, and offer views of Church St. and 6th Ave.

Oversized Rooms

Standard rooms located at the corners are larger than other rooms in the same category.
