Our take on Hilton Garden Inn Tribeca

The Hilton Garden Inn New York/Tribeca offers travelers accommodations that may be something of an anomaly amongst Manhattan hotels: affordable yet spacious rooms. In the City That Never Sleeps, you definitely won't have any trouble catching some zzzs, thanks to the signature Garden Sleep Number mattress, high thread-count linens and billowy duvets. Whether you find yourself in a king- or double-bedded room, you'll have a microwave, compact refrigerator, free Wi-Fi and, hopefully, a fabulous view of Tribeca, which is known for its cobblestone streets and famous restaurants. While the hotel's Great American Grill serves a fine cooked-to-order-breakfast, it's overshadowed by Bar Artisanal, an independently-owned and acclaimed restaurant located in the Hilton Garden Inn New York/Tribeca. Run by celebrity chef Terrance Brennan, it offers innovative cuisine in an atmosphere that's reminiscent of a French bistro and has an extensive wine list.

If you book a View Room, you can choose between a harbor or city view. The Harbor View rooms tend to be the most popular, because these offer views of the Statue of Liberty as well; in particular, rooms with numbers ending in *03 - *07 (e.g. 2904, 3505, 3607) on floors 29 - 38 offer wonderful views of Lady Liberty. In either case, bear in mind that you'll have to shell out a bit extra for view rooms.
