Our take on Andaz 5th Avenue - a concept by Hyatt

A hotel that's so new that it might still smell of fresh paint, Andaz 5th Avenue (not to be confused with Andaz Wall Street) has nevertheless garnered critical acclaim and built a loyal customer base in a very short amount of time. That's because this Fifth Ave hotel it seeks to create an experience that's different from your standard hotel - one that's personal without being overbearing, chic without being pretentious and value-laden without any cheap gimmicks. What it does provide are artful, well-appointed rooms with comfortable beds, high-tech sound systems and bathrooms that are just as nice as the rooms themselves. Moreover, mini-bar snacks are complimentary, as are Internet access and local calls (and who says nothing's for free anymore?). Two dining options and a gym are also offered on-site, so you could happily exist in the Andaz Fifth Ave's cocoon without even venturing out into the city - and if you did stay in your room or the hotel all day, we wouldn't blame you.
