Our take on Mandarin Oriental, Miami

Among executives and entertainers alike, the Mandarin Oriental Miami hotel is the darling of the district, known for its tip-top service, celebrated nightlife and elegant rooms. The hotel's prime waterfront location brings a carefree, yet serene mood to this Asian inspired playground. The seductively-appointed rooms have floor-to-ceiling windows which overlook Brickell Key, Biscayne Bay, or the twinkling skyline of Miami -- views that will surely draw you out into the balcony. Suites, with bamboo hardwood floors and rice paper screens separating the living area and bedroom, are spacious, with some even featuring wraparound balconies. The infinity pool takes your eye, and spirit, soaring, while the 20,000-foot private beach spoils you with its beach club butlers on hand. Two top-notch restaurants are on-site, as well as a rejuvenating 15,000 square-foot spa. Take your time at this gem and rediscover your own playful elegance.

Insider Tips on the Best Rooms at this Hotel

Quiet Rooms

Deluxe Bay View rooms are the quietest, because they're located away from the elevators and ice machines, face towards the water, not the city.

Rooms with a View

Among non-suites, Deluxe Bay View rooms and Mandarin Executive rooms offer gorgeous views of the bay (i.e. rooms ending in *10 through *20, such as 710, 812, 919). Keep in mind, however, that some rooms have smaller balconies than others. So if you want to enjoy the view from a spacious balcony, be sure to specify that you'd like a room with a larger balcony.

Oversized Rooms

Corner rooms are suites with larger balconies and are more spacious than the standard room types. However, you'll need to dish out a bit more for these.
