Our take on Jumeirah Lowndes Hotel
Counting some of the world's most famously luxurious properties in its portfolio (including the Burj Al Arab), the Jumeirah Group knows a thing or two about hospitality. The Jumeirah Lowndes Hotel, one of two Jumeirah outposts in London, doesn't disappoint. Located in the exclusive Belgravia village, it's close to world famous department stores, London's most iconic attractions and just about anything else that's worth doing or seeing in the city. Rooms and suites at the Jumeirah Lowndes Hotel are decked out in cream tones, lending them a timeless elegance. Each room features Nespresso machines, iPod docks, and beds so decadent, you won't want to get out of them anytime soon. When you finally do manage to leave your room, enjoy al fresco dining at Terrace Restaurant. Should you feel an itch to exercise, the Jumeirah Carlton Tower -- its sister hotel -- graciously provides guests complimentary access to its state-of-the-art health club and spa. With a stay at the Jumeirah Lowndes Hotel, one thing's for sure: you won't go home tired, hungry or out of shape.
Insider Tips on the Best Rooms at this Hotel
Lowndes Street is more of a side street compared to the much busier Sloane Street, so there won't be much traffic noise in the evening. Those needing their beauty rest should request a room on or above the floor 4, and away from the elevators.
Rooms with a View
As the hotel is only 6 stories high, you won't find much in the way of views, other than of the neighboring buildings or a small courtyard next to the hotel.
Rooms facing Lowndes Street, on floors 4 - 6, may get a slight view of a small park. Of these rooms, the corner one offers the best view of the park.
