Our take on Delano Las Vegas at Mandalay Bay
THEHotel at Mandalay Bay must be THE place to be, right? It is if you want huge rooms and upscale amenities; it's Vegas' all-suite hotel that's part of the Mandalay Bay complex. Get in a post-party workout in THEHotel's gym, then indulge in a steam, sauna or massage in the Bathhouse Spa. In the rooms, you'll find separate living areas and TVs everywhere, even in the walls next to the deep soaking tubs in the luxurious bathrooms. Did we mention the bathrooms have marble and granite all around, a separate glass-enclosed shower and twin vanities with a make-up mirror? In the massive "H Suites," the master bedroom has two 42-inch plasma TVs - one facing the bed and one in a sitting area - while Italian marble graces the bathroom, and in-ceiling speakers and surround sound envelop you in the ultimate serenade. At THEHotel at Mandalay Bay, you'll have sweet suite dreams.
Insider Tips on the Best Rooms at this Hotel
The quietest rooms are located at the ends of the hallways away from foot traffic and elevators in room numbers that end in a higher number, the highest being *816 or *916 (e.g. 5911, 12813).
Rooms with a View
To get a standard suite with a great view of the strip, request a room on floors 15 - 19 that ends in an even number from *902-*916 or an odd number from *801-815 (e.g. 15902, 15811, 18916, 19815). An additional $20 per night can guarantee a suite with a great view from floor 20 or higher.
The odd-numbered rooms from *901-*917 facing west away from the strip and towards the highway, offer great sunset views from floors 7 - 41 (i.e. 5901, 16911, 35913).
The views from rooms on floors 5 - 6 can be obstructed by surrounding buildings.
Corner rooms are generally occupied by the V Suites, which are larger than standard room types, offered at a premium rate.
