Our take on Hyatt Arlington

Despite being somewhat removed from Washington, D.C., the Hyatt Arlington is still a great choice for business travelers as well as vacationers that want to explore the nation's capital. Just a block away from the hotel is the Rosslyn Metro Station, which will take you right in to downtown D.C., and on a nice day, making the mile-long walk across Key Bridge to Georgetown is a great way to get some fresh air and exercise while seeing the area. Rooms at the Hyatt Arlington have been recently renovated and in addition to bathrobes, flat-screen TVs and deluxe granite bathrooms, many of the accommodations feature spectacular views of Northern Virginia or Washington, D.C., from across the Potomac. After a long day of meetings or sightseeing, you'll find many of the hotel's patrons unwinding with a drink in the Hyatt's lounge, known as Key Bridge Terrace.

Insider Tips on the Best Rooms at this Hotel

Quiet Rooms

For a quieter stay, request to be placed on floor 10 or above. That's because there are more business-minded guests staying on these floors (read: less children and families). Also, ask to be in a room away from the elevators and ice machines.

Rooms with a View

The hotel is located right across from Georgetown, but there are a few tall buildings in the area, so views may be somewhat obstructed. That said, a Business Plan King (odd-numbered rooms) may give you a nice view of Georgetown, which is likely to be the best view offered from this hotel. Even-numbered Business Plan Kings look out over Wilson Blvd. Keep in mind that the Business Plan Kings are actually smaller than other rooms within the same category, but you will enjoy nicer views.

Oversized Rooms

There aren't any oversized rooms in the standard category, so you'll have to upgrade to a suite if you want some more space to spread out in.
